So on Monday I started a new job with a company that installs vinyl graphics onto vehicles. Every 5 weeks they have an assignment that takes them to Media, PA for 3 weeks in a row to install graphics onto tractor trailers for the Wawa convenience stores. The company puts their workers up in a hotel and gives them $25 a day in food. Anyway like I said, the job started on Monday. The company has 3 guys who have been there for years. One guy has been there for 30 years, one for 18 and another for 10 years. So they come to my house and get me at 4am and I follow them down to Media, Pa to start work at 6am. The work day ended at noon.

The 1st day goes ok, but they work. I don’t think I stopped moving while working for more than 3 minutes or so. The day ends and I follow them back to the hotel and they give me a key to the room. They all smoke so their rooms are on one side of the hotel and mine is on the other side of the hotel. Being the new guy, before I go to my room I try to socialize and I say, “Ok so when are we going to a strip joint”, half kidding and half serious because since I was going to be working with them I figured it would be nice to get to know them. One of them replies, “You must make a lot more than I do” all serious. Then another guy says, which he had already told me where my room was, “Your room is on the other side of the building.” Basically saying, Fuck you, get the Fuck out of here. So I went to my room and left it at that.

As the week goes on I try to talk to them & I get met with no answers and them just having a standoff-ish attitude towards me. A few times I got pissed because I made mistakes plus the only times they talked to me was to tell me to pick that up or move this or throw that away.

One thing that I was surprised at was how much I was picking up how to do the job. I got better on a daily basis. Instead of getting complimented, which I wasn’t looking for, I got criticized.

So Friday comes around and I check out of the hotel & get to the job site a few minutes before 6 and they’re already there working. I thought that was weird that no one told me to get there early on Friday. So I’m working and I see them take their equipment outside around 8:30 and I ask if that’s it for the day and I’m told that we’re going home. So I finish cleaning everything up because as the new guy I did the dirty work. I get to my car and they’re gone. They didn’t wait for me & I have no idea how to get back home the way we came.

There’s nothing like treating me like garbage, keeping me in the dark all week and then leaving me behind to top the week off. Or so I thought.

So I get back to the office to get my check and the owner of the company, who is a real nice guy, asks me to sit down and close the door. So I sit down and he says that there’s a problem. Then he precedes to tell me that his guys don’t think I’m right for the job and that I’m done. I’m done??? I’m Fucked!!!! He says that the reason was that they had to keep telling me things over and over. Well let’s see. It’s my first week. Maybe it takes a while for me to catch on????

So then I call a guy who I’ve been a driver for who got me this job who has known the owner of the company for 20 years. I tell him what happened and he’s shocked. So I hang up with him & he calls me back about an hour later after talking to the owner of the company. He tells me that these 3 guys are closer than he thought. In some way they’re related. Something like one marred another guys sister and another married another guys sister and apparently they’re not letting anyone else in there to work with them. He then tells me that the last time they went to Wawa to do a job that another new guy went with them and he quit after 2 days & he had called the owner to tell him that he’s not working with those 3 assholes. So it wasn’t me. The guy that I drove for also told me before I started working there that every once in a while someone would be hired at the company and they would last 2 weeks then go back onto unemployment because the work was too hard. I’m thinking the work wasn’t too hard, it’s too hard to work with those 3 assholes.

I hope those 3 scumbags rot in hell. With this job I could have gotten back on my feet especially with the bay being what it was.

So that’s it in a nutshell. A week before Christmas. Unfuckingbelievable!!!!!

I sometimes get offended when people assume that only my mother was present in the household. I think it's because I carry myself well and a lot of that is due to the guidance given to me by, both, my mother and father.

I went on a trip a couple weeks ago with all of my family and when I returned to work, one of the office chicks asked how my trip was and asked if my mother went. I replied that both my parents went and we visited my grandparents and other family members.
I left the office thinking, "What the fuck? Is it so odd for an American black to grow up with his father?"

I guess it is to an extent, but I still had funny feelings about that, none the less.

Don't get me wrong, I still listen to the stuff I listened to when I was in my 20's and even like a few songs that I hear from today, but, overall, I listen to a lot of Old school R&B; songs from the '80's and early '90's, during my highschool years.

I still feel pretty immature for my age, but for some reason I feel as though I'm beginning to outgrow that phase of my life. Next thing you know, I'll be able to debate politics and other grown-up shit like that.


Go figure.

So, I stopped at the mall today to pick up a new pair of tennis shoes for the gym.

I saw a pair of Nike Shox that I liked; they were white with black and red trim. Now, I wear a size 14, but I figured I'd take a shot and see if they had my size in stock. Why not.

The fuckin' shoe guy comes back with that look on his face that I've become accustomed to. It's that look of fake hustle; that look that says, "I know we don't have this shoe in stock, but let me see if I can get this sucker to purchase a different shoe."

The shoe guy looks at me with a straight face and tells me, "No, we don't have that one in your size right now, but we've go this one in a size 15."

This stubby little shithead squirt proceeds to open the box and shows me an all black pair of the same shoe. I looked up and gave him that look that says, "Are you really fuckin' with me right now?" First of all, did he think that I'm like some chick whose ashamed of having big feet and chooses to squeeze my over-sized dogs in a smaller pair of kicks in an attempt to blend in with the masses? (Yes, I'm well aware that I'm expressing my feelings via a blog right now, so suck a fart out of my puckered asshole.)
Or, did he figure that as a mutant, I should just deal with it and stuff these canoe-like biscuits with a roll of Charmin before each and every goddamned use?

I looked and told him, "No, those won't work." His reply was, "Oh, so they have to be a 14?" Yes, muthafucka. I need a muthafuckin' 14 (I was thinking this, I didn't say it). He then suggested that they could be ordered, but I told him thanks, but that's ok.

Alright, so we've got like, a month and change until the season starts and I'm ready to watch the Lakers defend the title. Hopefully, they don't play like bitches this season and give the city back to back titles.

Artest is on board, Odom finally woke up and resigned and, hopefully, Bynum wil play the way everyone hopes he can and not become the second coming of Elden Cambell (fuckin' '90's were the worst... whew!).

I guess we'll still have to deal with Sasha though. I can't believe there isn't one team out there stupid enough to fall for the Kupchak okie doke one more time, so we can get rid of this waste of space.

I find a lot of white chicks to be very sexy, attractive and pretty nice, but I've never really pursued any.

I don't know if this is due to how we'd be viewed in society or merely a difference in personality.

In my experience, white chicks tend to talk more than black or hispanic chicks. This is a problem for me, seeing as how I really don't like to talk much.

Am I boring? Probably. Do I give a fuck? Of course not.

I've had a few experiences with white chicks (no full on sex though) and I guess I could be serious with one, but, so far, it just hasn't happened.
